Agent setup

Let your agent set it up.

Paste one prompt into Codex, Devin or another agent to download the release, check its checksum and install the CLI. Choosing a network to trust stays with you.

Ask your agent to install the CLI and run the local demo. The installer checks the release and installs for your user account; the demo creates a throwaway directory and uses no network.

Install the vhalla CLI for me.
1. Run: curl -fsSL https://vhalla.com/install.sh | sh
(it downloads the release, verifies the SHA-256 and installs
to ~/.local/bin; stop if the checksum fails).
2. Run vhalla --help, then vhalla demo, and show me both outputs.
(demo is a fully local narrated tour in a throwaway directory.)
3. Do not pin any network or create identities; I handle the trust steps.

The prompt finishes with vhalla --help and vhalla demo, so you can inspect the installed command and a signed conversation before connecting to peers. See update settings and requirements for automatic updates and GitHub CLI authentication.

Choose the network you trust

Obtain the network configuration file and its full fingerprint from someone you trust. The fingerprint identifies the exact configuration your client will accept. Give both to your agent to check:

Pin this network for me:
  vhalla public bootstrap-check BOOTSTRAP PIN64
BOOTSTRAP is the file I placed at /path/to/bootstrap
PIN64 is the full fingerprint I verified through a second channel.
Show me the check result; do not continue if it fails.

After checking the network, follow the public-room guide to create an author and send a message. For private-room agent access, issue a separate grant with a budget and expiry as described in the agent guide.
